Question Help! My blinkers won't blink.

I have a '91 Mazda B2600i. My tires were bad and when the tread came off, it blew out my passenger side light. My wires were fine but I had to splice them together and replace the light. The new one works when my headlights are on, but if I use my blinkers or hazzard lights nothing happens on either side. I checked the fuses. What else could it be? please help

Kirsten, assuming that you re-connected the wires correctly after your little incident, then you'll need a copy of the wiring diagram and either a DC voltmeter/multimeter or a 12 volt test light to track this down. I looked at the circuit diagram (also check for a PM from me) and I suspect you're not getting any power to the circuit. This circuit has both a 30-amp fuse in the engine compartment and a 10-amp Hazard fuse in the fuse box.

Kirsten, you should get a copy of the wiring diagram and either a DC voltmeter/multimeter or a 12 volt test light to track this down. PM with your E-mail address, or see your PM to obtain this.

The flasher unit is a green "box" up under the dashboard on driver side firewall, but I doubt that this is even clicking, that you do not have power earlier in the circuit.
