Help on 92 b2600i

Ok just the truck dont know much about it yet but the prev. owner said its got electric problem. he said after ten miles of driving the truck would run rough.then he said if you have the headlights on you could only go 4-5 miles. has anyone ever head of this? I am thinking ecm ...any help would b great thanks
