Camper Shell
Had my B for 4 years now and am looking to get a camper shell. Looking for something cheap for a camping weekend. Looking on craigslist and found some to fit S-10s but am wondering will it work. I've measured my bed but don't really know alot about camper shells. Are small truck beds (S10s, Rangers, Toyotas, Nissans) all about the samesize to fit camper shellsor are they all different? Thanks, don't know why I haven't joined before.

RE: Camper Shell
I know that the S10 "cap" wouldn't fit the box of my truck. It was a bit to wide. I lucked out and got a used cap off a Ford Ranger, which as you know, is the same body as the "B". Have you seen the "tent campers" that fit onto the box of a pick up? Easy to set up, remove and store. A buddy got one for his Dodge for under $300.00. Might be something to look into.

RE: Camper Shell
I was wanting a lid or a cover for my bed. I couldn't find one for my 91 b2200. So I have gave up and decieded to build one out of a junk camper top. To get an idea of what I am going to you can see a similar cover at http://minitruckinweb.com/tech/body/...ver/index.html
Toppers are easy to cut and customize. I had a longbed aluminum give to me for another truck. I cut it down for my shortbed. I used it for years and finally sold it for about 10 bucks. I have one located for about 25 now that has glass broke but a good skin. I plan to use the aluminum tubing to make the skeleton of the frame. I usually use pop rivets, scrap aluminum and screws to put one together. So if you find a good deal or a freebee if you have a few tools you can cut one down.
