Default b2600 2.6litre

Ive recently put another motor in my bravo, trouble is under the oil filter is a coolant pipe to connect to, my old motor which was a 2.6 does not have that.
the old motor has the hose connecting directly to the thermostat housing, the hoses from the new motor connects to that coolant pipe under the oil filter,
My question is no motor which coolant pipes/hoses I use either the connection at the thermostat housing or the one under the oil filter has no connection,
can anyone help me in a solution to this issue please
thanks

NOTE: the old motor is a 1995 the new one is a 1991
