B2300 Clutch issues
Greetings,
I have a friend who has a 1994 2300 with a heck of a hydraulic issue. Clutch does not seem to be getting any signal to disengage: you press on the pedal and the clutch doesn't move. Clutch plate looks brand new and the slave cylinder was replaced. Clutch master was also replaced and both were bled. Pushing on the pedal is said to be as if there is no pressure on the system, down easy and back up. Clutch pedal DOES return. System has been bled many times and even taken to a shop, who bled it, could find no reason why the clutch wouldn't disengage. There are no leaks on the system and clear, non bubbily fluid comes out of the slave. What are we missing?

RE: B2300 Clutch issues
the seal in the master cylinder that the clutch pedal is attached to sounds like it has a bit of crap in it and is not allowing the fluid to pressurize to actuate the slave if it is not that then the release bearing isor has slipped past the clutch fingers.

RE: B2300 Clutch issues
I have a '90 B2600i. How do you know when the slave or master needs to be replaced? Obviously, things won't work right, but what symptoms will you notice? My clutch pedal has started to act funny; pedal sticks on the way back up, amount of free-play changes - all sporadic, nothing consistent, but getting more frequent. I can't tell if there's still "gunk" in the line and I need to bleed it again, or if the slave or master is starting to fail. Can you rebuild either one, or do you just replace them completely? Thanks.
