Default 93 B2200 Short box or long box? Can't find info

I am in the process of buying a 1993 single cabB2200. It needs a new gas tank, and there are 2 different ones available (long box and short box versions). My problem is that I dont know if my truck is a short or long box (tape measure says it was about 72 inches). Spent the weekend trying to find info on box lengths for B-series trucks, but no luck.I ran my VIN number through Carfax and it stated that my truck was ashort box, but most short box trucks are about 4.5 to 5 feet, so I am skeptical. Are there any resources that I canuse to break down the VIN on my truck? (Doesn't Haynes do this in their workshop manuals?). I figure I'll try Mazda tomorrow, but if anyone can help then thanks in advance

6 feet isa short box, or standard box. 7 feet is the long box (not available on a cab plus); those weren't too common.

Trucks with 4.5 to 5 footbeds didn't become available generally until the crew cab (full 4-door) trucks became available in the late 1990s.
