90 Mazda B2200. Lots of oil in airfilter, low compression ....
getting a lot of oil into the air filter arear through the top vent hose on the valve cover. I replaced the PCV, that didnt help. Tried retorque the head a little and managed to go from 60psi to 110ps on cylinder 2. All other cylinders have 150-160 psi
Could this be a bad headgasket? I am about to take off the head to find out??? Is this is a common issue?

does your truck have just the 1 pcv valve or does it also have a valve cover vent? you might be getting some blow by from worn oil rings. i have that problem right now but my intake is ok, i just have low compression in 1 cylinder. do a leak down if possible.

My money would be on getting the head rebuilt if not already and a new set of rings. An 87 B2600 4x4 I had did the same thing: oil in the filter housing. Finally one of the rings broke. Once all new rings were installed the oil problem was no more!
