Hello,
Have a 1998 Mazda B4000, just recently did the spark plug change and went through the passenger side wheelwell. Had no vibration above 70 until after the plugs were changed. Runs smooth until about 70 and then the rear starts to shake, mostly when i have a load in the bed. Any Ideas on a way to stop the vibration...?

If they removed the tire (front tire!?----yet rear shakes?!), it's possible they got dirt in between wheel and hub and/or did not properly torque it.
Did they rotate tires?----rear shakes?

 

It shakes more when there is a load in the bed. Did not rotate tires yet... Rear of truck shakes. Steering wheel does not shake at all...

 

Mazdadude: Check the tire pressure.
Consider rotating the tires to see if the shake moves somewhere else. That would proof that the problem is related to the tires.
If you do it yourself: inspect the tires for uneven wear and cracking rubber on the tread and in the side walls.
If you take it to a shop ask them to check the balance of the tires.

If you have alloy rims the lug nuts need to be torqued again after about 100 miles of driving.

I think the timing is coincidental. Taking your front wheel off does not cause a shake in the back.

Checked my tire preasure and one tire in the rear had was alot higher than the others. Also torqued the lug nuts to the correct torque and looks like that was the problem. Am still going to get my tires aligned just to be sure... Thanks for all the input...

On a day without wind find a nice even road and go about 40 mph. Release the steering wheel, but keep your hands right there. Does it pull right or left? If it pulls right it may be caused by the crowning of the road. If you can go safely into the left lane repeat the test. If should go slightly to the left now. That means the alignment is o.k.
If it pulls to the same side on either side of the crown it means your alignment is off.
