Give us a little history on it. Did it sit a long time? Auto trans? Died while driving? When it ran was it sluggish?

It died while driving and was running good before that.

Check for 12 volts at the coil with the key in the on position. The electrical portion of the ignition switch could be going south. There is a difference in an auto trans and 5 speed. The auto trans has an electric fuel pump in the tank. The 5 speed has a mechanical pump mounted on the head. You say you have spark but it may not be hot enough or it could be firing at the wrong time. Check the distributor rotor for burn marks and loosness. They can burn a hole in them and still throw spark. Also take the resistor off the coil and throw it away. Reconnect the connector to it to the coil.

Can I ask you how hard is it to swap the motor to a Ford Probe 2.2 Turbo. I heard it was easy but you seem to know alot. Exactly how hard is it? Someone said you change the wiring harness but is that all the wiring harness or just from the computer. If the whole wiring harness do you have to do the fusebox and all and what parts do I all need when I get the motor? I know I need the motor, computer, and computer wiring and I can keep my same tranny.

It would'nt be too hard. The engine harness does not run through the dash, just a little past the firewall. You would need the ECU also. I guess the best and cheapest way would be to buy a junked car and swap parts. There is a ton of piping, etc.

Ok one more suggestion. I found a motor out of a 1988 mazda mx-6 with 53000 miles on it for $100 will it fit into my 1994 b2200. Mine has a carb and the mx-6 has fuel injested. If it does what else do I need? Computer? will tranny match up?
