Default Newbie looking for some help

Hey guys i just registered here and I am looking for some info and opinions on the 1988 mx-6 GT. I found one one ebay that looks really nice. Here is the link. This will be my first car if I get it. How reliable are these cars? How easy are they to fix and how easy is it to have fixed? Also does that MX-6 look like a good clean car?

I'm in oz. I to have just been a convert to the zoom zoom club. I myself have just brought a 1989 mx6. I think you may have a good buy. See if you can bring the price down 'red bookau' says oz mazda mx6 1988 valued at $1400-$ 3100. I'm pretty sure their exactly the same, pic's look just like mine (steering wheel on the wrong side)stats are the same to. Looks stock standard in great nic for a car that age.
My problems were:- Had to clean tappets med diy if you know what to do. Puuurrrrrrrrs now.
Needed plugs, leads, and fluids changed easy diy
New heater hose easy diy
brakes master cylinder med diy
a new tyre
and a clean.
Purchased 18 nov 06 finished to day. mines going in for a respray(paint worn on bonnet, boot, roof). the guy i purchased it from was sorry to see it go(he owned it off show room floor). same as another i looked at 1 owner. So i would say reliable yes, from what i've read. here's hoping i've jumped in already. manual is best. here's hoping you convert
