Well, never owned an automatic MX-3 but on the manual if you follow the fuel rails over to the fuel lines then follow those down the right side of the engine (right side if your standing in front of the car looking back towards the rear of the car) you will find the fuel filter there that is attached to a bracket that is held in there by 3 or 4 10 mm bolts I believe. Its been a while. Hardest part was the clamp that is farthest away. Old rubber sticks. Now there are two fuel lines there that come of the rails, a feed and a return. The one with the pressure relief valve will have the filter on it (feed line) which would be the closest one to you I believe.
