I have a 98 Mazda Millenia S and my dad is having a very difficult time trying to find out where to find the shift solenoid so he can replace it. All we know to do is go through the kick panel on the passenger side. If anyone can help and give me any information to where it's located, I would greatly appreciate it.

 

if you go thru the kick panel on the passenger side, you will then have to go into the engine bay, under the car, and then drop the oil pan. the solenoids are on the valve body. the only transmission part in the kick panel is the control unit. and if you have never changed the trans fluid, that is probably why the solenoid is sticking. i would flush it, add lubegard, then drive it and hope. i like and use valvoline hi mileage dex/merc, walmart has it for 3.67/qt

 

My dad checked it regularly for me. But, the man who ordered my part for me just told me to go through the kick panel. But, I believe I'll take what you told me and see how that goes. I'll let you know if I get my car up and going. Thank you.
