Default Mazda problems...Need more beer & bigger hammer!

Sup chumps... I'm the new guy. With a 99 Millenia S

Anyways I'm having problem like MazdaRella writes about. With the P1525 & P1540 codes commin up. Theres no P1526 showing bad (VENT) solenoid ckt, like I've seen on other post. I've tested the (VACUUM) solenoid and no air flow with B+ V. So I guess in with a new one, but my main question is will this eliminate the P1540 also??? Rella update yo post, as u progress. Anyone elses comments ,on topic, appreciated. Ty

Also Connector to EGR valve postion sensor has been cut off from harness leading to EGR. Leaving this cut off I believe would cause engine light to come on, but what drivability issues may occur??? Other than cruise fuel economy....Also(2) I'm changing tranny fluid and mentioned to a buddy of using DEXRON III for it and he said to check into DEXRON VI. Said it supercedes III and should work better in it..Is this true???

hey thanx for the diargram.

Also, I've been told. To test Cam Position Sensor, test for continuity between terminals B-C ,the two inner poles. Is this correct??? Because I'm getting no continuity.

it may be the air gap also.my 96 manual says to measure resistance between A and B and you should get 950 OHMS to 1250 OHMS. the air gap should be .040-.080 in. if the resistance isnt as specified replace cam position sensor.

Talking the beers always flowing...

cant work on a car without it.bad thing is we have 3.2% beer in oklahoma so about once a month ill fly the millenia falcon to a neighboring state for the REAL stuff, usually missouri or texas. hows everyones millenia running?better than ever here, was running funny at high RPM so checked plugs and had the champions in ..044gap.put in the GOOD NGK ones with .033 and man oh man!!!! im never getting rid of this car,if anything happens to it,ill look high and low for one just like it.peace
