Default Loose shifter and won't go down to drive, 1st or 2nd!

Hello! I have a 1995 Mazda Millenia, and so far i've spent some time fixing it up. I currently am waking for a fuel pump, but I noticed that the shifting assembly will not go down into drive or 1st gear. It is very loose to go into Neutral, Park, and Reverse as well. Any idea what it could be? I think the looseness is bushings, but aside from that, I don't know.

You can by bushings for it. Just remove the shifter to replace the side to side bushings. As far as it not going into first gear that could be a cable bushing/misadjustment or just gummed up from spillage.
