Reprogram steering wheel seek button (Mazda Connect)
I have a 2016 CX-5 with Mazda Connect (not sure if the controls differ on other versions).
By default the steering wheel seek buttons move between favorites on a short press and seek (go to next frequency or track) with a long press. Because there are typically fewer favorites than total tracks or frequencies, I think these should be switched. Does anyone know if there is a way to reprogram them to do this?

It's not as much as a default setting as it is a That's the way it works setting. Since the Mazda connect is in reality a mini laptop, I wouldn't doubt there is a programing geek, and I say that in a nice way, that could find a way to hack in and change settings. As far as a simple switch or setting, to the best of my limited knowledge, no.
