Default News on the 2016 CX-5 Release Date???

Hey guys... I'm out there looking to buy the 2015 CX-5 GT (haven't pulled the trigger yet - but should be pretty soon).

Just to factor in to the decision making, I wanted to know from some of you guys who have followed the Mazda release cycle, when do you think the 2016 CX-5 would hit the markets?
Thanks!

According to Autoblog on 11/18:
"You shouldn’t have to wait too long to purchase the new CX-5, as Mazda typically releases its updated products as early as January. Pricing should rise just slightly over the current 2015 model, which starts from $21,545 with the 2.0-liter and $24,395 with the 2.5. Potential buyers should also note that a completely new CX-5 may be coming as soon as calendar-year 2016 for the 2017 model year."

I've read everything on release dates. All of them tend to say either February/March or September/October. Only a half a year difference lol.

I just posted this on another thread here -- over 500 2016 CX-5's available?:

New 2016 Mazda CX-5s for Sale -ALL - AutoTrader.com

Are these listings for real, or are they dealers just saying they have them to get people in and signed up? I'm thousands of miles away from these dealers so cannot check in person myself.

I just looked up a couple of the VINs and they are indeed 2016 cars.

They are definitely out there although they are not at dealers by me either. The closest to me is in NJ and I'm not about to drive 2 hours there just to see it. I feel a little deflated after looking at the prices for a measly sport model on the dealer's website but I suppose that should be expected. I'm about to take my current car back to the mechanic to get another 8 months out of it and wait for the prices to come down on this years model. After all the '17 CX-5 is supposedly going to be a whole new body, not just a refresh so in about a year or less there will probably be pretty steep discounts on the '16 CX-5.

Darn you! Now you got me thinking about the 2017!

So if they are in some dealers now, how long until they are in all states (California for me)? Days, weeks?

This simply means the dealer has ordered those cars for delivery sometime in the future.

Well the good thing about a re-design in 2017 is that there should be steep discounts for the '16 year model but obviously we won't see these incentives for probably upwards of 8 months to a year. I am speaking out of speculation only and what I think would make sense. I have no inside knowledge, I've just been following since I read about the 2016 model back in November/December. If I had to guess I would speculate that all or most dealers should have 2016 models on the lot come late March seeing as how they have already hit U.S. soil.

I read another more active forum where people have already received quotes and talk about getting the car within the next two weeks.

Anyone else have other insight out there?
