Default NAV lighting question

So when the NAV is running and you have to put your headlights on because of rain, night driving, etc, the NAV screen dims down quite a bit. How do you raise the brightness level? I looked in the book, didn't see it anywhere, or I missed it.
2016 CX-5 AWD GT model.

TIA

In the MZD menu you can set the display to Day or night or auto. Change it to day & it wont dim on you.

You can also twist the trip meter reset stalk in the dash clockwise and your dash and nav screen will brighten up.
