Mazda CX5 Gas

So you're suggesting E0 returned a 6% increase in fuel economy. I'm a consulting engineer and have worked for three of the world's auto manufacturers, and I have to say, a 6% bump in fuel economy is outside the margin of error. That said, given the vagaries of when certain pumps click off versus other pumps (or even the same pump on a different occasion), the extra 2% can easily be chalked up to a difference in how much fuel was put into the tank.

For the record, Jeep rates the vehicle a 17-24 and says the range is 469 miles on E10 and that the range is 370 miles on E15. I have always exceeded that E10 range doing exclusively expressway driving except when going up mountains and then I've come close to it. I don't tend to speed (at least not much) as I got most of that out of my system many years ago - a lot of it driving on the autobahn.

The non-ethanol boat gas in Florida runs from 35-50 cents more than blended. I usually see it in 89 octane, so it's not that much more expensive than blended. Performance and mileage are better 8-12%. It's about a wash, but interesting nevertheless.
