Key Battery Low
My 2014 GT is about 18 mos old. I got this message at start up a week or two ago after the car sat for a week, but got it again after a 150 mile last night
Seems a bit soon for the battery to run out, but it's only a CR2025 so it should be an easy fix right?
So how does one open on the fob to access a battery compartment? I can't seem to find any way to open it.
Is there any other condition that I should be concerned about that could also cause this message?
TIA,
TCK

Batteries in these fobs are not known for their long life. 18 months is on the short end of the spectrum, but not by much. I replaced mine at a little over 2 years. Depends on amount of use, but today's key fobs are involved in an awful lot of the car's functions. So short life is to be expected.
