IPod/USB don't work
I just got a new 2015 CX-5. When I plug in my iPod classic or a USB drive (with mp3s on it) into the USB port, the USB tab stays disabled. It never turns to "iPod" when the iPod is plugged in.
When I plug my phone with cable into the USB port, it does charge it, so it has power. Am I missing something? I read the directions several times.

I reformatted the USB drive FAT32 and it recognizes it. The iPod may be the issue many seem to be having? Not sure if they are having that on the 2015 though. Mine doesn't get recognized at all. My PC recognizes it when I plug it in.

It is an old iPod Classic, which has been around for many years. It is listed in the manual as compatible. Not working at all is a little more than an issue. I've read of people complaining it doesn't start on the last track they were on. I would be happy if I could get 1 song to play or the iPod menu to even light up!

I'll add that with my USB stick, which has a couple thousand songs, it takes several minutes for it to be able to play. It also only recognized one out of many playlists. The tech is definitely lacking in this "upgraded" stereo.
The audio is very disappointing and that is one reason I wanted a new car. Other than that, I love the car.
UPDATE: I used MediaMonkey and EXTm3u format playlists and had it dump everything in one directory. That seems to make the playlists work and is much quicker to load. It still takes a couple minutes to load 1200 songs on around 15 playlists. It was taking much longer with every artist/album in its own directory.
