Bose is a letdown> add Kenwood SW 10 all in one sub, amp?
My wife and I bought the CX-5 about 2 months ago and absolutely love it. Great handling, 30 mpg city-highway and fairly quiet interior. But the big letdown has been the Bose system- namely no real bass response. I wanted to wait a few months for the speakers to break in before commenting and adding another component. Since they are broken in and are adequate but need a little more bass response I was thinking of adding the Kenwood SW10 since it would sit under the seat(or Infinity Basslink- that could go in the cargo area).
I dont want to get an amp and a sub and go that route as we are older but still like great sound and I thought one of these would be a sound solution to get some low end.
I am looking for feedback if anyone has done this and if they have what was the best way they found to hook these up. As far as taping into the speakers and which ones. Also what size power wire is needed for these weaker units.
I was also concerned that if you tap into the speakers does the deck really pass much low frequency for the sub to produce decent sound?
Any feedback or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
