2016 CX-5 Grand Touring AWD price help
Looking at getting my wife a 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring AWD. The standard without options MSRP is $ 31,080. I added the auto dimming for $ 300. So new MSRP is $ 31,380 The best price so far that i got was $ 29,907. I have to add tax, DMV and inspection. I also have a trade in. Is that a fair price or should I push for more and how much more. Thanks

I'm in the same boat
I'm trying to make a deal here in Montana on a 2016 Grand Touring. The options are the white paint ( really?) the Tech package and this particular car has the Mazda roof racks and the bumper guard. The dealer has added "mud flaps" ( not sure if they are Mazda OEM. I'm at 32k OTD and even tho that is including a $99 doc fee it seems high to me even tho its only "$500 over invoice".
My main question is are the roof racks a good option to have even if I never use them as far as looks go ( the car is 100 miles away and I have not seen it yet) and do they increase wind noise thru the moon-roof? ( I've had cars that do)
Also..I know I am going to pay close to "full boat" for a 2016 as they have the "improvements" and those wheels are well.... ya know.. But are any dealers dealing out there on 2016's?

the roof rack I think look cool even if you do not use them. You OTD does that include tax? I just picked up mine today 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring AWD, color Sonic Silver Total MSRP of $ 31,380, selling price was $ 29,450.00. I added tax + 157.50 ( tire fee/insp/filing fee). Keep looking and offering prices you think you want to pay. Mine was $ 2k off MSRP. Also check out this forum Mazdas247

He started with his invoice prices and added $500 ( dealer profit) and it seems fair but the margin between invoice and MSRP on Mazda's is so thin it's hard to know. They have the advantage of having the only version of this car for hundreds of miles.. I'm going to keep working on them. I want the car. If I was willing to settle for a 2015 it would be thousands less but unfortunately the improvements made to the 2016 are significant in my mind.
As far as the roof rails go.. I looked at some photos and I just don't love them on this particular car. It kind of kills the sports car looks a bit. Not bad but I will never use them and don't want to pay for them..
Thanks..

Got it !!
Just got the 2016 White Grand Touring AWD with the "tech" package and dealer installed mud-guards ( do not like the way those look from the back)
After much "grinding" got it OTD here in Montana ( no sales tax ! ) for $31,190 which was pennies above invoice. It was the only white/black version in the entire state so I guess I did ok. Mostly the wife's car ( my other car is a FJR and a Tundra) but I will certainly help here break it in. I have to say after having blown tons of money in the past on BMW's, Porsche's and Audi's this seems like a lot of car for the money. If the reliability and fuel are what they should be It's going to be a great long term vehicle..

I just bought a 2016 AWD Crystal White Pearl Mica/Black Interior Grand Touring with the Tech Package, Rear Bumper Guard, Parking Sensors, and door sill plates fro $30k last night. I traded in my Grand Cherokee for it - quite a different car, but I am liking the CX-5 and its gas mileage

We got our Sonic Silver 2016 CX 5 GT, AWD MSRP 30,780.00 (no tech pkg.) for $28,200 plus tax. Dealer Handling Fee included in the $28,200. This took shopping a lot of area Dealers (via phone or email). Price quotes ranged from the $28.2 to $29,700, D&H incl. & includes taking advantage of the Mazda Factory extra $500 Memorial Day weekend rebate & Mazda Finance $500 rebate . We had to close the deal as one of the rebates ended that day, even though car was an incoming unit. Get the car tomorrow.😊
