Squeaking steering wheel on '90 Mazda 626
I took my car in to a garage a few days ago and ended up having to get the front driver's side axle replaced, for quite a bit of money. Since then, I've noticed that every time I turn the steering wheel, it makes an incredibly obnoxious squeaking noise. It sounds like it's coming from the steering column. At first it was just whenever I made sharp turns, but today it's gotten louder, and to the point where it squeaks whenever the wheel is moved even a little bit. This definitely was not happening before I took it in to the garage, and it started as soon as I took it home, but I have no idea what they could have done to make it suddenly start squeaking, and I'm not happy about possibly having to take the car back in and fork over more money if it's their mistake. Any ideas what the noise could be?
