Hey guys, my 'engine fan sensor' or whatever it is that tells the engine fan to turn on, has come out of wherever it's meant to be. Can anyone please tell me where it is meant to go? Please give a detailed answer as im not a mechanical genius

Without the details on your EXACT car model, year, and engine, not much can be given. Usually the fan sensor is a water switch that is threaded into or near the top water pipe outlet.

Oh of course! Sorry about that! I have a 1.8L Mazda 323 Astina BG 1992. Its definitely NOT a switch though, it looks sort of like a plug.

Default Engine fan sensor

I have a 1992 Mazda 626 and the fan sensor switch is located on the engine near where the upper radiator hose enters the engine, it should be very visable. Hope this helps.
