323 bw 1.6 '96 ignition switch leads?
Has anyone any ideas what the leads are?
My ignition switch got to the end of it's road - the key didn't turn in it anymore, and I had to get a new ignition switch.
Tha car is old enough that I didn't know which museums to call for similar ignition switches, so I had to settle with a newer one (2 + 4 pin connectors). I know the pins of the new one, but the old one is a mystery. The old had 5 leads at the end of which there were connectors. Can't even measure, because the key doesn't turn.
What I need to know, which lead of the old ignition switch is witch (B, ACC, IG1, IG2, ST).
The leads of the old one are:
Blue
Black/Red
White/Red
Black/White
Black/Yellow
Under the dashboard at the connectors, the wire colours change:
(switch to connector -> connector to forward)
Blue -> Blue
Black/Red -> Black/Yellow
White/Red -> Black
White/Black -> Black/Red
Black/Yellow -> Black/White
It looks like the White/Red (at the switch) is the 'B' (+12V accu) and the
Black/White (at the switch) could be IG2 and the Blue could be ACC.
I've looked into one Hayness-manual, but it's probably a wrong one, since the electric schemata doesn't seem to match at all.
These are the best pictures (witout the cylinder) that I managed to fing in the net:
