Default 2000 626 possible PCM trouble

Car stalled while driving. Verified fuel pump will create 45 psi, tested relays, and verified all fuses good. Tried two different code readers and they will not communicate with the PCM. No spark and no fuel pressure with key in crank position. Any suggestion?

Does the engine crank over? Do you have a second key to try?

I do not have another key. It does turn over but as stated no spark and no fuel. I have tested to main relay and fuel relay and they are good.

I would be looking to see if the immobiliser is at fault.

I have been using the free repair guides through AutoZone. I see the imobilizer in the wiring diagram but have not found a diagram with its location. Is it integrated into the PCM or a stand alone device. The wiring diagram also indicates that some cars do not have an imobilizer. How would I know if this car has one?

If fitted, it will be mounted on or beside the steering column.

Its rare to have a 626 thru the shop now days. I know on the Mazda 6 there is a red immobiliser light that flashes when the key is off, not sure if 626 is same.

I located the immobilizer. Made by Lucas; model is a 34AS or LC62 67 5G2. Is there a way to bypass this thing? If not what needs to be done to make a replacement immobilizer work with my PCM
