Default New 2016 mazda 3 fitting cruise control

Evening everyone,

Has anyone fitted cruise on the new 3, I today received the OE switches and have removed the air bag and guess what.... No wiring loom for the cruise..

Does anyone out there know if I can get a loom from the dealers... And weather when fitted it needs setting up by the dealer.

Desperate to get this sorted as I now have a tracker on the car and dont want to get busted too often for speeding

Thanks for looking

Mark

I'm not sure those of us on the left side of the pond will be able to help. Why? Even the lowest trim level of the Mazda3 (Mazda3 i Sport) comes with cruise control over here.

Maybe grim_reaper from Down Under will chime in; they may get cars down there like y'all get in the UK.

All Mazda's come with cruise control in my part of the world.

Does Mazda in the UK not have a kit as a genuine accessory?

I haven't had the need to remove the airbag on a BM Mazda 3 yet to see whats in there.

Maybe visit a wrecker for the wiring. Im sure the switch will plug into the clock spring.
If you get everything plugged in, you may need to replace the Brake light switch, then the ECU &/or BCM may need to be reprogrammed to allow cruise control operation.

I fitted cruise control to my 2006 Atenza, wasn't too hard, but I had the support of Mazda NZ for technical backup.
