Hi there new to the forum.
I have an issue today where my remote fob does not work so I use the key to unlock the car but the alarm just goes off. I am able to start the car but the alarm horn still goes. It was early in the morning so I quickly closed the door and then locked the car with the key (as the fob does not work today) but if I still try and get back into the car using the key the alarm keeps going off.

Is there is a way I can unlock and disarm the car using just the key?

I have been told by some that locking the car with the key but holding it towards a certain position will allow you to lock/unlock the alarm using the key is this right?

I just need someway of turning this alarm off or using the security system with just the key until i get a new key fob this weekend.
