Default Mazda 6 seat underneath "clip" broken

Hi all

I have a problem with my Mazda 6 drivers seat, and I am hoping someone here can save me some money and help me identify the part I need and advise if its something I maybe able to fix myself.

The front right of my seat lifts up when I lean back, and I can see where the issue is. I have photographed the front left of the seat to show the part and the front right where it is missing.

I have highlighted the round clip in yellow.

Can anyone identify it? My local mazda dealer told me the part is only £2/3 but they need to remove the seat so it will cost near £100 in total.

Any ideas/advice welcomed!

Thanks

Just buy the part, remove 4 bolts holding the seat in and replace it yourself. I'm sure it is quite easy to replace given that the dealer is only charging 100 bucks.

No, I assume you do since you got a quote on the repair and pics. The parts guy should know if you show them the pics.

They are called "Push Nuts" # GS1N 88 356

Also you may need the nylon bush/washer that goes under the push nut #D651-88-625.

The repair bulletin in OZ says to add a second push nut to each corner/mount.

Once you unbolt the seat from the car have a close look over the seat frame to check for cracks or broken welds.
