ID an exposed "L" connector
Hey Everyone,
This is my first post - so forgive me for any offenses!
I just returned from some maintenance service (oil change, tire rotation) at the dealership and decided to look under the hood. I always check the oil dipstick before and after an oil change as well as to make sure that the service personnel correctly replaced the oil cap.
I noticed something that looked suspicious - a plastic "L"-shaped piece that is connected to (what looks to be) a (yellow/green) quick release connector (see attached picture below) is exposed. It almost looks (and feels) like someone took a nail file and filed through the plastic.
Anyways, I searched the www and found a engine compartment diagram that shows this part as "#4".
My question is: what does this "L"-piece connect? Is it important? Has anyone else experienced this with their MZ3?
I have a 2010 Mazda 3 (4-door).
Any help would be greatly appropriated!
