Default Found this FREE codes website

Hi All

I had a problem with my 95, 323. The Check Light was on the dash, so I had a look around the web for on

how to read the codes.

Came across this site www.auto-diagnostic-codes.com

Has FREE code info on Engines, ABS, Auto Trans, Airbags.... for cars from US, European, Australian

and Japanese and Korean vehicles.

I was able to follow the instructions to read my engine codes, and then type the code in the

system.

Code came up as Code 32: HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

I tested and replaced the sensor, and that fixed problem. Just thought this website might also help others.

Very nice! The check engine light just came on yesterday on my 3 ('07) and I'm trying to do as much research as possible.

Smile Check Engine Light

To all who have this light come on and want to know what causes it - it can be a number of faults which cause this light to illuminate. I have a problem with my service light being on and like you did some research. The conclusion was that I bought a small piece of test gear (from 'Amazon' here in the UK) called a 'CAN OBDII Scan Tool' which plugs into the OBDII socket in the Drivers footwell. This piece of kit will scan your engine management system computer and tell you what fault codes it has found and then you look it/them up in the the provided book and/or CD. The piece of kit also allows erasure of codes once the fault has been fixed and also resets the Check Engine Light. Check it out on Amazon before you buy to make sure it will work with your car -make & age. It cost me £12.00 plus £8.00 post and packing - worth every penny. There are more expensive and versatile similar pieces.
Hope the above helps someone.
