Default Crank position sensor fault

1996 626 - standard transmission. It is showing an engine light on the dash. Fault code generated indicates a 'crank sensor error'. The crank sensor, sensor bracket and sensor wiring to onboard PC have all been replaced. On-board PC verified ok. Tolerances have been measured and fall well within specs.

Driveability is good (other than the lighted engine prob on the dash!). Any ideas on what to focus on next????

Default RE: Crank position sensor fault

Possibly a crack in the reluctor or PCM fault. When you erase the code does it come back immediately?
