Wireless Remote Key Question

How does one connect this key fob to a key chain. I can't seem to get a typical key ring into the top.

Most of the newer keyless remotes for Mazda require the use of a ring no larger than 1/2" in diameter to attach to fob and can then go to a larger one for the keys.
