I run a 205/50R17 on my wife's Mazda6 and they are incredible (Dunlop Wintersport M3) For snow driving you want a narrower tire to cut through the snow.

I am new to the forum but I always heard good things about the Blizzak tires. Almost every long term test I read in Car and Driver where they pick up snow tires, it has mostly been the Bridgestone Blizzaks. I think I have Michelin RS-As on my sportwagon....have to double check. TireRack has been good to me for my Dunlop SP4000 & Continental Extreme Sport Contact A/S for my 98 Audi A4.

Good Luck.
