The way she''s been ridiculed on SNL and in the press in general, Palin just doesn''t have the respect of the public, and I can''t imagine that ever changing. If you remember Dan Quayle, he''s a smart guy (certainly at least as bright as Palin), but he could never get past his early mis-steps, he simply wasn''t a guy who could handle the heat of the media. That''s who Palin reminds me of.
Maybe she parlays her current situation into a Congress or Senate seat. That''s her upside.
