hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knows about/owns a good lowering kit for a 2004 6i? I don't want to lower it much, no more than an inch I just want to get rid of the little wheel gap that the 6 has stock, however i want to sacrifice as little ride quality as possible. I don't wanna be bouncing around like a slammed honda civic. Anyone have any ideas?

I'd recommend Eibach pro-kit springs, they tend to be the least drop of any of the aftermarket springs available.  I loved the ones I had in my 3.

I read the info on Eibach's site about the pro kit and it sounds pretty good. They mention the ride quality, which is what I was mostly looking for and they aren't very expensive either. thanks for the info!

Actually, the Tein H-Tech's are the least drop that I know of.  1.1F/0.9R.  It ain't much of a drop though, but it's there.
Ride is supposed to be excellent w/them too, but I have no personal recommendations about that.... and no personal experience w/them either.

Drop on my 3 with the Pro-kits was 1.0F/1.1R, ride quality was almost exactly the same as stock.  I was very happy with them and I put 53,000 miles on my car as a commuter on Michigan roads (read - seriously potholed)

I've never seen them rated @ less than a 1.2" drop all around, and often a 1.5", unless that's all ad hype?  Sportlines between 1.5-1.8".

sportlines are the lowest you can go with springs...

however, ive seen guys with H&R coilovers, with like a 2.5" drop.
now THAT is low

Mine was a low option 2.0L, so it's lighter than the S model....maybe that accounts for the low amount of drop.  Those measurements are actual on my car  (not advertised)
