I got my whole family to fall in love with Mazdas. My first vechicle was a 2001 Mazda B-series. I tinkered with it until I ended up with 276 horses. Then my parents got a Mazda 6 in 04. Then when my lease was up in 05, I bought a 05 Mazda 6. At one time, we had 3 mazdas in our driveway! It was like heaven. The mazda b series is a tough good truck. I loved driving it in the winter. It slid all over the place, but it was fun. I would do donuts all the time. I pushed that truck really hard. I did offroading, pulled trailers, and it still ran better then brand new at 46,000 miles. Mazda's rock!,

The only problem I have with the modern B series trucks, they are a Ford Ranger with a few cosmetic differences. I liked the Japanese built version much better from the early 90's and older. Same difference is the Isuzu Hombre was a Chevy S-10 in disguise. I guess Mazda gave up on making trucks and had Ford change the emblems to Mazda. I know Ford has an interest in Mazda, but geez...

Lol!
Yeah well I am just a young guy (19) and my little 92 323 is my first car. Well I had moved down to Texas to live with my Grandmother who has lived by her self for like 12 years so I was trying to finish high school and get ready for college and all that good stuff. I have had Stepdad issues so thats why I had to move down to Texas from Mustang, Oklahoma. So since we didn't see eye to eye I never got a car at the sweet age of 16 or 17 so I was walking to work when since I was 16 and I have always wanted a Mazda but was really not going to try to get one becaues I though my chances where pretty rare.
Any way I had just got a job and it was really close to where I lived so I walk for about 3 to 4 months (kept me in great shape) So my Aunt gives me a call saying that she had a friend that was trying to give ride of her old car and she really didn't want to sell it, she just wanted to give it to some one who really needed a little car. So I was really needed and didn't car what I got. So I come home one day and I see this little white two door hatch back in my parking spot with a big sign that says "For a person that was in need and never complained when things got hard. To my favorite Nephew"
At this point I, I will amit it I was in tears that some one was so thoughfull to help someone who really couldn't get a car on his own. So I take the sign off and get the keys, and I do a walk down of the car and as I make my complete circle I look a the grill....My jaw drops. I see the words MAZDA I am stunded. The one brand of car that I accually want to have at some point. I got a little one but I love it.
I take the best care for it. I just love it, even though it looks funny as he$$ to see a 6ft 250lbs guy driving this little car. I could never be any happy in my life.
And it works out because my Grandmother doesn't drive or own her own car and hasn't for about 5-7 years I can drive her around and take better care of her too.
So yeah my Mazda has really changed my life, I finally feel like a normal person. I also feel kind of cool too because I don't see to many 323's around so I feel like I am in a little club. When I see another 323 I stick my hand out the window and wave/yell at them and they do the same back.
So well thats my story.

awe that is a good story. We should make that a movie! thanks for sharing! What is the deal with the Bseries trucks. They are not making them any more? I keep looking for 06's at the lot for some time now, but I havent seen one. The mazda version looks much better the the ugly ass Ford ranger. Especially the dual sport model!

Hear is something funny that happend when I first got my 323 well I opened up my Hatch and I was look for something and then befor I knew it It just kind of decied that it would stop staying open and came crashing down on my back. Oh and you know how good that lack that sticks out feels right in the middle of your back.
Lets just say I was really "mad" (nicer way to put it) and I just kind of wanted to beat the crap out of something but I didn't want to hit my car like most poeple would do. So I grabed my stock lug wrench and threw it are hard as I could. hahaha well let just say when I went to go find it, I was amazed I didn't hit any other cars. It had bearly miss a very clean Toyota Camry and had lodged its self in a wooden fince. So I am out there with my hammer trying to get it out of the fence. And at the time I didn't notice that a guy parked right next to the Camry was in his car. Well he sees what I am doing and comes over to have a word with me.
This is what he said. " Did you throw that?" *kind of laughs* "um ... yeah I did" I said.
*Da$# dude I was just sitting in my car when I saw that wrench hit that fence I though some body was trying to hit that car" he said.
So yeah never throw lug nut wrenches, or at least never do it in an apt. complex.
I was lucky. I kept thinking of how much damage I could have done if I would have hit that car.
So now I pretty much keep my cool.

that would have been very devastating if you hit that car, especially since the guy parked next to it would have probably noticed that you cracked it, if you were to actually hit it. haha, you never know what is gonna happen until it happens. i'm glad you didn't have a hefty price for your unfortunate actions. i wish you well.

I have a funny Mazda story from a few years ago. This was my wife's '94 626 (she has a '06 6 wagon now). It was a hot summer day and she came home from work about an hour before and we had some people over to go swimming in our pool. One of the people who came over told me that her lights were on. I thought, ok, how can that be, she just drove home in broad daylight, I doubt she would have left her lights on, so, I got out of the pool, dried off, and went over to the car, and the hazard flashers were on. I figure maybe she bumped the switch when getting out of the car so I got the keys and opened it up to turn the flashers off. That's when I noticed the rearview mirror was missing. Soon I found the mirror on the floor of the car. Apparently the glue gave out in the heat, and the mirror fell, hitting the hazard flasher switch on the way down. Interesting... ;)

I first owned a red 1980 Mazda 626 5spd coupe . One night , coming back from a Halloween party at 3AM , with my buddy & I (was 16 y.o. at the time) , pretty drunk & stoned , and riding a curvy residential wet road ...... we both looked at each and as we were inevitably going to hit off the curb ! (later we both admitted seeing death just before hittting) ..... the car slammed sideways/forward motion into a residential wooden fence and at same time the front end parking it in the huge oak tree .... my buddy had glass all the way into his pants from the side windows , I had deformed the steering wheel like a bicycle's rim all twisted and banged off the interior rear view mirror . I got out right away and noticed the front end tipping downwards from the windshield forward to the tree and on my buddies side there was no more glass as the car was resting against the fence ...... looked at the house and no lights came on .... shaking , I got back in and started the car , put it in reverse and got back on the road 5 kilometers away to my house ..... the car was hopping up and down like crazy as all I could manage to do was @ 5MPH ...... we were cracking up hysterically alllllll the way long , very long ride , but fuuunnyy !!!! When I got home I noticed the front wheels from heading each in opposite directions

no wonder
This car had impressed me back then for details such as warning chime for lights and keys left in/on . Sexy little car it was .
Several years later I owned a charcoal 1985 Mazda 626 LX 5spd 4door . My other two buddies each owned a 1984 626 4door , and a 1986 626 2door , respectively . My key was able to open both their cars , but they couldn't on mine
This car , I can say was the first refined car that I owned that could drive all the way to 160 km/h (100 mph) and feel I was doing school zone speeds ! I loved the opened view windshield , the oscillating heat traps in the middle of dashboard , and the joystick to balance your speakers .
Today , I can say I own the best car ever had (my Cobra comes in second

) ; my 2005 Mazda 6 GT v6 5spd !

This car has everything to make me happy for many years to come . It has stunning looks all around inside/out , it is refined comfortably , sporty enough (for now) , and has practical power in the city/hwy . What can I ask more .... I am a happy man !

These cars are alive !!!
Alucard , your car was so grateful to have you and was desperate to give you a big hug of love back
As for Kpatz , your car was sweating it (hazzards) and jealousy made it that she drove you out of the pool
Just my imagination

This story might be a little long so be forwarned: It all started last Saturday i was with my friends, there were 8 of us and 2 cars, i of course had my Mazda3 and my buddy Matt had his 00 Eclipse GT, we decided that there were too many cops around to race and it was to early (around 2:30pm) too there were to many people we might hurt. So we decided to drive to the mall and hang out their for a while opon getting there we decided to have a little game of cat and mouse but instead of flashing highs we decided to tag each other with food all the while driving, so we went to the mall and bought ~$20 worth of food and the rules were we cant get anything that would ruin the paint and the first one with the least amount of stuff by the time we got back to the McDonalds wins, the only route we could use was 40 since on 95 we'd be hitting about 110mph and unable to hit each other and we might get caught for reckless driving, so my team, team Mazda consisting of Me, Mike, Brandon, and Katie vs. Matts team, team Eclipse consisting of Him, Molly, David, and Teddy. Lets just say we decided to get a head start so we ran back to my car and proceded to trash of car we used honey, duck sause, doughnuts, and anal lube...dont ask.
We decided to wait for them so it can be a fair fight cuz it took them 10min to get out of the mall, we waited until we saw them turned around parked somewhere else and waited until they got in there car, of btw the expression of his face when he saw his car...priceless, and we drove away. Of course with his car being ~230hp and mine being only ~160hp it did not take him long to catch up, so first we were weaving through traffic me trying to get away and him trying to catch me, so driving about 20miles over the speed limit we ran still cutting through traffic, thinking we got away we ducked behind a Home Depot for a few minutes, and them all of the sudden we saw his charging at us from behind so i threw it in manual and drove off and ended up in a ally, dodging trash cans and boxes we were pulling hitting the brake hard i slid around the corner (the car threw me in an angle).
After finding a main street i was unlucky enough for it to be wide open so he had plenty of time to catch up we bobed and weaved a little bit avoiding there food and finally it happened he got me, we got out to confirm the damage, i was now the cat. So we got in our cars and he started to run and obviously i was not going to catch up but luckly further ahead traffic was a bound, this was my chance to get him back after a few minutes Mike who was in the passenger seat was able a nail him with a slice of pizza, once again we switched roles. I was lucky enough to find an open lane to haul ass in while he was boxed in this lasted until 6:45pm. I was the first to get back to McDonalds with the last amount of damage so i won, we then counted up our remaining money to give out cars a full body wash and wax before our team meet. THE END

I've never had my hatch fall on me, but I just know it will someday. The rear shocks on 7s are supposed to automatically raise the hatch, but I have to lift it myself. It stays up by itself, but I know the shocks are very worn. Oh and 2 Months ago when I just got it, I drove it once, left, came back and it didn't even crank. Just click, click, click...... Turns out in the cross country delivery, the battery got totally drained because someone left the faceplate for the aftermarket radio on, which is always on reguardless if car is on or not. It scared me to death. I thought I had just bought a POS car and it would'nt start with 95k miles on it! Haha scary, but good times.

My first Mazda Was a 1977 Mazda RX3 with only 70,000 miles and one owner. My dog broke her neck playing with my other dogs and I had to sell the car to pay off vet bills and my dog passed away.

Well i dont have much of a story, but it was funny and happened on my way home today. i am cruising along and i hear someones loud exhaust behind me, it happened to be a Mitsubishi OZ Rally edition with exhaust and intake. so he pulls up next next to me at a light and starts revving, i dont pay him attention, but i know what we are going to do. the light turns green and we are off, he pulled a little bit in first gear, but when he shifted to 2nd i pulled away, still in first dropped the 2nd and was even farther ahead. and after that he tried nothing again. this poor underpowered Lancer OZ Rally has no chance against a stock '06 3i w/2.0L engine. while he was in 4th gear i was driving along in 2nd, and to think i almost bought one of those cars. i will give him a little credit, he had the CAI and exhaust, so that maybe added about 10hp to his total, but look at the spec;
