So, I don't want to have to pay to put in an after market stereo (what with the cost of the unit, and that new molding so it doesn't look like shit), what I wanna do is get something that lets me put in an auxiliary jack. I have two options: I could get a plug that goes from rca cable to the current jack in the back of the stereo, or I could get one that goes from a male audio cable to the jack in the back.
Anyone have any ideas which is better? Or, where I can get either piece of equipment?

How hard is that to install? It appears one has to take apart the head unit itself (not just take it out of the dash). This true?
Are there any guides online on how to install it, so I can decide if I wanna do it or not?

Does anyone know what's the best way to connect an ipod to the bose system for a 2004 mazda 6 without using an FM transmitter?

Look at the Silfex link posted by West05 above. I have it too. It works great and it is not so hard to install.
