does anyone know what the stock speaker size if for the '06 M3iw/Stock system. i have a sub in the trunk, and now would like to upgrade my door speakers, and Crutchfield gives like 3 different sizes that can be used. does anyone know for sure what size they are?

The straight answer is 6x8's (Ford/Mazda) are the stock speaker size.
5x7's will fit, so will some component 6.5's, and some say that 6.75's will fit also though an adapter plate would probably be needed.

i'd go with 6x8's in all 4 doors....if changing....sorry if i wasnt a help i wasnt sure 100% till virgin mentioned it.

I was just afraid that some of those earlier posts might be confusing, especially if he doesn't read the whole thread... like the one where Siber states that the OE speakers are 5x7's.
