i have recently bought a 91 b2600i cab plus. 222k miles. one owner and runs great. i have been fixing minor stuff on it and have found the post here to be very helpful. the steering column has a kind of erie moan while turning. anyone have an ideal how to lubricate it. also, at highway speeds a noise is coming from behind the gauges. maybe the speedo? sounds like a wind noise. any advise would be appreciated

is it constant?  is it only when it's cold out?  i have an odd noise eminating from my gauge cluster (when it's cold) which presents itself at speed.  i'm thinking speedometer cable?

On your steering column noise you need to remove the back housing, where the hazard switch is and lubricate the grommet in there with some silicone spray or WD-40.

that sounds like a good place to start. i will remove the cover and try to lubricate it. thanks. the noise behind the gauge cluster is constant at highway speeds hot or cold. i think it is coming from the speedo cable.
