I got my True Red GT with Navi and Lojack 3 weeks ago. 500 miles now. It has received all LED bulbs replacements. Putting on the Clifford Matrix 50.5 today. Tomorrow I will put on the full clear bra kit. Next week I will install a set of coilovers and the mazdaspeed rear camber correction kit. The HKS BOV kit is on its way hopefully it will arrive the same time as the coilovers. I like the car very much. Although it is the slowest car in my collection except my 2 trucks, it is sure Fun to drive and a very good front wheel drive vehicle tossing around turns. I am waiting for the mazdaspeed CAI and exhaust to be released. I will take it to the track two weeks from now to see what it can do.

I did a little research into the LED replacments for all the lighting.  The Gt of course does'nt have all LED and i want to see about replacing the signals and see if High Beam LED's are possible.  I found some site but things seems shadey.  Do you have any links to the companies you chose?  And nice rims.  Wonder how the cark wheels would look on a Cosmic Blue.

I should be getting my silver GT in the next few days. I was also wondering about the LED replacement. What site did you see that at?

Va,

Sure, we can keep in touch and plan getting together.

The only time I feel any noticable lag is if I am at a low rpm. This will always be the case, as the turbo has gotta have some speed to do it's job effectively. If you had driven just about any turbo car from a few years ago, I think you would agree that the perceivable lag in this car is very minimal.

I'll second that notion

Up to 8000 miles on my silver GT, got it late October. Going to need new tires on it soon too, but then again I try to race anything that will run me, maybe I oughta slow down. Where did you get your coilovers and camber kit? Also looking for a strut brace for mine and a CAI. If anyone knows where to find em hook me up.

Just picked up my silver MS3 GT today and wow, what a car! Only thing, and I think I heard that this was normal, was that the engine was giving off a very peculiar smell after I got it home. Other than that it seems to be great. Shifter isn't too bad. It took some getting used to, but then again I havn't driven a stick in 2 years.

I finally got my speed3. I got a black mica GT with chrome door. They car is just gorgeous. I made out too. I got to keep my stock rims when I traded in my golden 3 and got just about what i wanted on my tade ( I wanted almost 14k). I am very happy. I cant wait to tint her after the holidays and add some small details to her.

Congrats! Yeah the smell is normal for new cars. I think its something they spray on the cars for shipment.

i will be getting my black speed 3 GT in a week or so, very excited. i am going to tint it too, wondering how dark to go? only thing in NJ is you cant have the front windows tinted but i did it with my last car and never really had a problem, just had to take it off to pass inspection years later.

Cobbtuning.com will be making an accessport for that car, they have had a lot of success with subaru and i think they really know what they are doing. i am most interested in just getting mazdaspeed accessories such as the CAI and the Catback exhaust.

It dumps back into the system truered.  If you remove the intercooler cover it's easily visable, accessable, and replacable.  check out www.cp-e.com .  I have yet to find out the effect of this on our 'quite nice for a turbo' 5yr 60kmile  powertrain warranty.  I'll let you know, keep me informed,  The only reason i wanna replace it is the fact that the OEM is plastic and well, plastic is plastic.  It's been found that this car will spike boost to 16 and then drop down to like 11 and then level out.  I know it has different spool patterens for each of the first four gears but this still cannot be good.  One thing is most likely not being able to hold boost.  So i'm gonna replace it.  It's easy to bolt on with the custom flange.  Maximum boost FTW.  Plus it'll give the option for about 15.6 lbs of boost to be exhaled to the atmosphere and give away your sleeperness........I'll be hooking it up for recycle.  I love this BOV topic any other thoughts, ideas or questions to throw around lets have em!!!

And for the love of Mazdaspeed, sticky this thread lol!!

that mazdaspeed 3 gave that srt-8 a pretty good run. Hey does anyone know if the BOV will cause problem for the speed if I make it Vent to atmosphere?

Holy crap I love our cars!!  Happy Holidays, but it you l;ike me you're not dreaming on sugar plums, you're looking for parts and watching videos of other speed3's.  check this out.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjEeUVjP8O0    It's a Speed6 at launch i watched the quater mile run and was like "cool".  Then found this a slow mo of the launch.  Holy shyte.  Wonder what the MS3 looks like at launch that thing looked like it wanted to lift the front off the ground!  I'm going to order the BOV tuesday, I just can't do without.  And that is a good question on the atmosphere dump.  But it should'nt matter if the internal dump is just back into the intake area just ahead of the turbo.  I'm at my parents place with a warm garage again and I have the camera, so maybe i'll get a few pics up for you tomorrow if i can find time between all the merry x-mas's.  Peace out.

Anyone here around Hagerstown, MD.  I'm looking for somepeople to go on drives with.  Gotta talk to the guys at work and see where they go with they're bikes and scope it out.
