Hello all, i am curious as to how much some of you MS3 owners purchased your cars for.  I am a Ford Motor employee, and i live in Las Vegas.  Unfortunately there are only two Mazda dealers here in Vegas, i have already been to one, and the GM spoke to me and told me he was not going to give me my employee discount.  i am however going to go to the only other dealer here in Vegas this weekend and talk to them... but back to the question at hand, in the end how much did you all get your cars for?... and did you have to wait any length of time to get one.

Most people pay the sticker price because dealers won't go down in price.  I ran into a guy that works for Mazda as a consultant at the car wash and he told me that Mazda is actually makingno money on the Speed3.

I got $400 off sticker because of some scratches (turned out to be glue) and more off due to me fighting for the trade in price.

Draconius thanks for replying, i am curious though, you said that Mazda isn't making any money off of the MS3, are you refering to employee purchases or normal consumer purchases?

After communicating with all the mazdaspeed dealers within 400 miles of my home I was all ready to order on from a dealer one hour away.  It was the only one that would sell me the car on the S-plan.  They made an estimation of my trades value at time of delivery (3months).  It was decent and i was ready.  While i was there I got a call from my local dealer and he said he'd do $500 over S-plan.  They had appraised my trade in and made a formal offer of $1500 more and i had it in my folder of goodies signed and dated.  After some quick math in my head i realized i was in the wrong place so i bailed out with the gotta talk to the bank thing and i carted my mother (car buying wiz) back towards home.  I drove away that day in the the exact car/options i had set out for and i had test driven a a week or so before.  So things worked out.

Money wise i payed 500 over invoice, and after all fees and taxes and such i was still under sticker for my GT. Finance that at 4.9% and consider the insuarnce bills inflation of only $40.00 a year, lol, it's a damn good deal.  and considering the cost of the Mazda3 GT a with fewer saftey items standard, less performance, less handleing, (though still a good ride)  I think anyone with  a mazda hatch for fun in their future would be stupid to over look the Speed.  Though i have to say mine has had more hiccups than anything i've ever heard of.

Got mine for $500. below sticker, but the dealer is an old friend of mine. Really, I wasn't expecting him to do that, because every one he gas gotten, has sold within 2 or 3 days.

I think it depends on your market. Some guys here were saying that in California they were getting as much as $3k over sticker.

I think the sticker of 24,500. is very reasonable, considering how much car you are getting. I researched the car for several months, and didn't find anything else for the money, that offered so much.

Yeah, $37,000 is a bit steep.

Being that i am an employee of Ford im entitled to the S-plan price. The GM of the first dealership i went to said that i could order one at S-plan price because it won't come out of his allocation, but it won't arrive here until July.  I guess i'm gonna have to wait until I talk to the F&I director (a friend of my dad's) at the other dealership to see if he can do anything for me.

ZoomZoomWannabe, you are correct i too understand the great value of this car, but i still think that i should get one for S-plan price. I don't think that is asking too much considering that is what the S-plan is there for in the first place.

I don't blame you. If you have an opportunity to save some cash, do it! I was only speaking in general terms in regards to the value of the car.

That is my goal exactly, but if I cannot get one for S-Plan I'll just have to wait a couple of months and go to dealers and ask them again...

I even checked the Mazda dealer in St. Geogre, Utah but they don't have any in stock so I just have to wait a little longer i guess.
