I just bought my 2006 Mazda 6 Grand Touring S 3.0 a few months ago. I want to do some mods, and wanted some opinions. I'm going to the Injen cold air intake this weekend, and am going to do the exhaust system soon. Probably the MagnaFlow exhaust system since I had one on my 2002 Silverado that I loved. The thing I'm worried about is the sound the exhaust will produce. I'm used to having a very throaty deep tone when I've done my exhaust's in the past (all V-8's). I was hoping all you experts here could give me an idea of what my car will sound like with the intake and this exhaust system. I really dont want to sound like one of those fast and furious wannabe's, but I want some extra horsepower and better sound. Thanks

I have the AEM CAI and Racing Beat exhaust. It sounds great. I'm not a boy-racer anymore, so I was looking for tone, not rice can buzz and the RB exhaust fits the bill very nicely.

I have been through 3 different intakes (AEM,Injen, and now Mazdaspeed) and Two exhausts(Custom, then Tanabe) on my 6 and FINALLY found what I am happy with. I finally got the deep NON-Ricer sound and the right HP Gain to match. Alot of guys I know are really happy with their Mazdaspeed (Bosal) cat-back exhaust which is REALLY deep sounding! They usually end up adding an extra resonator to cut down how deep sounding it is!
