are mazda6's known for making alot of brake dust? cause i'm not harsh with my brakes at all and after one day of driving, my wheel is pretty dusted up from the brakes. Another thing, my rotors appear to be rusting already and when water hits them, it just drips on my rims and turns them orange/brown. Should I invest in new rotors ?

ive seen brand new rotors that as soon as they get any water on them, rust. there isnt anything that you can do about it...but as soon as you move the car, and hit the brakes, the pads will scuff the rust right off.

Most of the mazda line up have alot of brake dust...but with a performance four wheel disc braking system sometimes you pay the price...my suggestion is use car wax on your rims in the summer and a thin film of Vasaline in the winter to make removal of the brake dust easier.

also, ceramic pads can cut down on dust

thanks guys, you've been a great help. I was thinking about waxing my wheels but i wasn't sure if that would actually work or not. yeah... the rust comes off for the most part when i use my brakes, i just noticed that today.
