I have a 1997 Protege with a steering wheel that looks like someone's been chewing on it. I'd like to replace the wheel, but I've heard that it can't be done on that year of Protege. Is this true? I know it has an airbag & all, but I can do without one just to make the car look better (and my wrap is falling to pieces.)
