LORDY!!!  That PP is scored!!  I can't remember ever seeing one that bad before.  Not even the one I took out of my Opel after teaching a neighborhood girl how to drive stick!!      (<<< I'm not kidding. That really happened. She burned out my clutch in less than three lessons.)  I'm glad to say however that she did learn to drive stick and to this day doesn't drive anything else.
The car's looking good though Ren... and the pics are getting better too!!

Keep up the good work.  You'll have that car in like-new condition in no time.

Good question!!  How does the new clutch feel?  Did you install an OE, Stage1 or some other "special" unit in there.
Given the opportunity, I'd do a lightened flywheel in my 3 (though not in an 8) and a stage1.  The difference in the cost of the clutches is almost nil.  It's the labor that'll kill you.

whoa whoa whao boys overwhelming me whoo everyone wants a piece. LMAO

The clutch is just a stock clutch. They charged me $1,000 cheapest to fix it. I couldn't afford to upgrade to anything. It feels good. But I think they overfilled the fluid in there if I screw up rather than smelling burnt clutch i smell the fluid and it's gross haha. Of course I can't tel you if i have a HP gain since it's just a stock clutch that went back in. And like I said I couldn't afford to upgrade the flywheel either.

A reduction in rotating mass @ the crankshaft is almost always good for hp, but you lose some driveability in the form of bottom end torque.  If the flywheel is too light, the car can feel jerky too so I wouldn't want a flywheel designed for drag racing. I'm looking for a 12-14lb replacement, not the 8.5 lber Findezia offers.  It's a very nice flywheel mind you, just not practical for the street IMO.
A stage1 clutch is almost exactly like an OE, except they offer a higher spring rate/clamping force. In the case of the NA3, about 200lbs more clamping force. It may or may not feel a little heavier at the pedal, but engagement is as smooth as factory. Fewer losses through clutch engagement and/or slippage.  Sometimes the disk is made of a higher % of Kevlar or ceramic (longer life/better grip) compound material than the OE too.  But, since it's a harder, longer wearing material, it can also be harder on the PP and flywheel mating surfaces though.

i decided to enter a small car show later on tonight and i went out and cleaned/vacuumed my interior, polished my wheels and exhaust tips, washed/waxed my car, wiped down the engine and stuff. So here''s a few pics.

Very sparkly.  Looks Good, Jen!!

May I suggest though that you get the same type of hose clamp for all your intake connects, line them all up and in one direction? It''ll improve the overall appearance and give those pesky judges one less thing to pick on the car for.

You''re welcome.  Your car is really coming along nicely, imho, and it''s obvious you''ve put thought and hard work into it.
How long did it take you to detail it to that level?  And what was the mp when you did it?
It''s 104* here right now and it took me over 2 hrs just to rotate my tires, and I didn''t even tire-shine them this time.
Well, to be fair about it, I never JUST rotate my tires, really.
With the wheels off the car I thoroughly clean them front and back (where all the brake dust lives, and it always takes more than one washing/scrubbing to get it all off too,) dry them, clean the lug nuts, dry them, check and adjust the pressures, add in some anti-seize for good measure and reinstall them torquing to specs.

And I wonder why I HATE to rotate my tires.

Well i did the entire interior last night vacuumed, wiped it down, did the windows etc. Took about an hour and a half. I did the outside cleaning, polishing the rims, outside windows, wiping down every inch and the engine parts in about 2 hours. So not that long. I don''t like how the interior is painted ecspecially on the door panels that''s the only thing i really need to change. and what do you mean by mp? I did this at like 7am in 85 degree heat.

The "mp" was a typo.  I don''t like this keyboard that came w/this computer and I need a better one.  If I don''t check my posts carefully there would be a lot more of them.  It seems to skip keys that I know I hit sometimes. The semi-colon and apostrophe are too close together for me too.

"I did this at like 7am in 85 degree heat."

That sounds like what my Sunday morning is going to be like.
