the last time I polished my rims was back in october of 07 for the car show. I wanted to show everyone what they look like before and after being polished.
Before Polishing
as stated this is what they looked like before i polished them
With Polish on it
Just to show you that i really was polishing them
After polish
I washed my car in the shade so you could see the difference
In The Sun
Here's an update, on saturday we painted all 4 calipers blue, i painted my w/w fluid holder black and installed the sub/box/amp set

hmm...
does that insulation in the engine bay really do anything??
if that was my car, i'd remove it. pronto!!
oh, and clean that engine bay!! ;)

no, no,
i mean the insulation on the strut towers/firewall.
im sure its just sound deadening tho.
and for some reason, i like to keep my engine bay as clean as the rest of the car.
the next warm day we have (which wont be till at least march...), im cleaning every inch of my car.

I love the Rx-8s, they just need a more reasonable boost option. $5000 for an ECU reflash by HKS as well as $6,000 worth of turbo equiptment is rediculous. The 430 whp resulting isnt :)

I wonder what the tq numbers would be...probably no more than 280-290, IMO.

I agree, chrome is an out dated look that makes me think of C4 corvettes.

oh well to each their own i like my wheels.
thanks dentinger. actually there were people on the road (regular street) that were practicing their endurance bike riding, that's halfway to old tucson studios right there

While chrome is not really my thing anymore either, I like the wheels, but personally wouldn't want to have to take care of them. ('Still think they're polished aluminum, which btw looks a awful lot like chrome plating.)
But I will say, that at your earliest possible convenience, get that bodywork fixed and ditch the bra. Too.... '80's!

yeah give me the money and i'll get on it. They are alluminum wheels with a chrome finish. we figured it out. *nods*. Chrome polish still works.

Oh and the pictures look good, but try to get in the habbit of shooting with the sun towards your back, or shade the lens with your hand much like you do when you want to imitate a baseball cap to your eyes(or if your camera has a lens hood, use it). That lens flare is washing out your shots preventing a good popping contrast and deep saturation.
Example of difference:
No shading:
Shading with hand:
(please ignore the yellow color cast of these images, they're straight out of camera and I didn't correct my white balance on scene)

Hey, relax, I am just trying to hel pyou get the most out of your camera that yo upayed for. It's called constructive criticism, it's nothing to be ashamed about. The 8 looks good in htos epictures, and knowing Rx-8s I KNOW that's a very good specimin(you need clear corners though). I'm just saying, if you push the envelope a little further with what gear you have, you can make thos epcitures do the car more justice. I do love the car htough (despite the wheel disagreement) I respect you for what work you've done with it. I also love that you bought a rotary. I'm on your side though. I love the car.

and to each their own as i've said. I didn't pay alot for my camera. It's a piece of crap. I bought my car the way you see it minus the bra and the painting and stuff. It came with tint, the exhaust and the rims. I didn't add those. 2ndly i don't have alot of money so all i want done to my car has to wait til i can afford it. As for the pictures. There was only one place ic ould turn off to take photos and that was the only direction i could park 'cause of other people parked there.

lets say it like this.. both cars look nice and i want to aspire my car to look something like hers... well with new rims, tints and a new exhaust. IMO if you have a car and you love it its all that matters.

Well said, Jaimie, and I completely agree with you.
