Rear Brake Noise

My 04 MPV makes a grinding sound in the rear brakes on a hard stop.  Mechanics say pads and rotors are 1/2 life.  Said problem was emergency brake rust but cleaning failed to stop noise.  Car brakes but makes noise toward the end of the brake.

Think your problem might be solved with updated brake pads. See link below to TSB and see if it sounds right to you.

Thanks for your info - I will definitely go to my dealer with the Service Bulletin.  How do consumers get service bulletins?
