Quarter Drag

Well this was when i first got my car insured and took it out on the town...and a buddy of mine was in a brand new tibouron and wanted to race so i said alright...i've never raced before my whole life....got out on a back road behind the huddle house and i think it was a Quarter but i spun through first finally caught and spun a lil in 2nd and he was speed shiftin and blew away and at the finish line i was catchin up...tore my ego down but gotta learn somehow....setup was stock and clutch wasn't to good...throw out bearin is about to go out..lol

have you raced him since then, you know a little rematch since youve gotten a little practice

that is pretty sweet, my first race was in my civic that i just sold... i raced my brother, and my car bogged down on me so i lost, i had a torn ego to, but after that i was racin a little more each weekend, and i beat a couple of guys, and that brought my ego right back up, even if you loose racin is fun...

Ran 1/8 mi drags last Fri in my 3i. Best time was 11.001 sec, best trap speed was 63.2. (Trap speed on the 11.001 was only 60.3 mph, so I could get into the 10's) Pitifully slow by what I know to be considered fast. One of my friends has a slew of 400+ hp vehicles...

I couldn't get the launch down (front end wants to hop, big time w/225 tires) and my reaction times blew. (anywhere from .592, which isn't too bad to over 1 second...pitiful)

(It was still fun though)

yeah an Rx-7 should be able to take a tiburon but you'll leanr how to race.

Ran 1/4 mi drag at Las Vegas Motor Speedway at 15.7sec with top speed of 94mph(Mind you that the V6 weighs almost 4000lbs). Trick is to launch on yellow and you'll get good RT. My best was .142 and ohh by the way, I smoked a brand new 06 tiberon v6 a couple of weeks back.

I raced one of my friends scion tc with my rx7 n/a and i lost because i grind 3 gear... damn... i was piss... cause we were side by side... until i grind and i lost my speed.... then as i contiune on i was still at the same speed as him... lol... weird i thought....

Raced 2 Scion Tc's at the same time! (3way) Blew by 1 of them but got smoked by the other. lolol

this little civic tried to race me one night off the light, so i let him get a little bit a head and floored it and before he knew it i was in front of him

i noticed that too...over the autocross season in the different regions more tc's kept showing up...quite a few of them were supercharged. they are some pretty good competition for the 3s with an aftermarket sport suspension on the course.

Yea, I believe that supercharger for the TC comes from the dealer. I hear them advertise it on the radio all the time.

Yeah, that supercharger for the tC is a few grand (don't know exact price, saw it in one of my car mags) but they tested it and it made the tC a whopping like 180 hp. I don't quite know how fast my speed 6 is, but it feels faster than my (now totalled but not my fault) '04 Mustang GT 5 speed. When I blow by people taking off from a light, when we get to the next light, they look at my car like what the ____ is that?!?

My friend gotta a TC and he just Supercharged it. It's a TRRD Supercharger and it cost him about $3,000 including the install. It's a lot quicker that stock.

my times were ok for what i had. its a 95 mx6 v6, 5spd, intake and catback exhaust, fully loaded, elec seats, leather, stereo, sunroof, etc.....

Yeah, when I start to pull on a speed 6, I know I've found my mazda.  Go Speed 3!  I know mine kicks ass.
