Hello everyone.
I am going to be purchasing a GT 3 in a couple of weeks and want to get an idea of what to expect in regard to price. How much can I expect to get off the sticker price? Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you...

That's a dealer trick to get you suckered in.
They want you to stew about the idea of getting a new car.  Then you'll see it and fall in love.  THAT's when they have you.
If I wuz U, I'd go back tomorrow and ask them what it will be.  Do your preliminary negotiations NOW.  Don;t let them "play" you.  You'll come up short in the end.
I know.  I've worked for dealers.  They don't call 'em "stealerships" for nothing.  To them, it's a science... a study in human psychology.

Dude you got robed!!!  You can download a manual for free online ;)  J/K

I got a m3 s Touring (manual transmission) for invoice price ($17,240 I blieve).  However, the dealer charged me a New York Assessment Fee which was $295.  I'm not sure if that was a ligit fee or not (can anyone shed any light on that?) and I tried haggling that down but he would not budge.  In the end I figured, I'm still getting the car for only $300 above invoice that can't be too bad.  So I bought it.

BLADE, before you pay be sure to visit www.carbuyingtips.com as it will give you alot of helpful information including what a fair price should be on that exact car. Mazda 3 is on there. You can also check out rates for financing and all of the tricks the dealers try and pull and how to avoid them and being scammed. GOOD LUCK

Also, shout out to all the M3 peeps as i have not posted in a while, hope all is good with everyone . Virgin, I like the colored emblems on your ride .

Great site WARDOG. Thanks for the info. It may seem as if the dealer has the upper hand, but I am in absolutely no rush to buy a vehicle. I want the 3 but I can wait. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks again.

I purchased my '04 5door w/ 2.3l, auto, moonroof, 6 disk changer, and under 20K miles for 15K about 2 months ago.  I had a deal for an '07 3s Sport w/ 5speed for 18.4K, but it fell through.

<---- bought a 2007 mazda3 S Touring 4 door in the best stock color around, PHANTOM BLUE MICA. 5 Speed manual ( auotmatic on this car is a waste the stick is too good u get so much more out of the car ) 6cd+moonroof, cargo net, rear wing spoiler for msrp of 18700. I work for ups so i paid invoice -$500 so i got the car for about 17000 when it was all said and done. Been happy with it ever since. When i bought it i was torn between the 5door and the sedan but the 5 door looked too cutesy for me.

Hey good luck with the dealer.
I got my 3i sport fro 12,500 with tax and dealer rip off 14,100 out the door.

I have had great luck with the last couple of new cars I bought.
What i do is: Do your home work and decide what you want, model, color, options, etc..
Then start calling the dealers in your area.
get them to commit to a price on the phone. Say you want the "out the door price"
Tell them you are ready to buy today and they will give you the price. (they will try to get u in) but hold out for a price.
when you get your number you like - go in a get it. (tell the guy if its a penny diff you will walk.)
you dont have to be an ass about it, as a matter of fact be extra nice, sales is all about wanting to do something for some you like. If you piss the guy off he will try to screw u.

Oh and be willing to take one that is on the lot, if they have to transfer it you wont get as good a deal.
One other thing. YOU GET A BETTER DEAL THE LAST DAYS OF THE MONTH. THEY HAVE QOUTA'S TO MEET AND IF THEY NEED A COUPLE MORE SALES THEY WILL MAKE A BETTER DEAL AT THE END OF THE MONTH.

This has worked great for me and has saved me hours of driving around to diff dealers and getting pissed off by A-Hole sale jerks.

yea, when i went to my local dealer, he wanted to charge me $2000 over msrp price. he must have thoguht i was born yesterday. i asked him why the price was that high and he told its because the mazdaspeed 3's are in high demand and theyre going fast. they only made 5000 of these and theyre not going to last. so i played along and said ok let me go to the bank and get my down payment. i never went back. you screw with me i'll screw with you back. in the end i had to go to new jersey to get the car of my dreams. and guess wat? i got it for $1000 BELOW msrp. dont ask me how but i did

Correction, SpeeDy, they only imported 5K to the North American market. Or was that just the US?
SST (or anyone,) a little help here?
